0121 GMT - New York Fed President John Williams tells reporters Monday evening that his sincere hope is that whoever comes on as the next Fed policymaker, especially as chair, "understands the very important role we have" of ensuring maximum employment and price stability. Williams' comments come as President Trump says he plans to pick the next Fed chair sometime this month, from candidates including White House adviser Kevin Hassett and former Fed governor Kevin Warsh.
