Gold Miners' Shares Mixed as Bullion Hits Record $5,100

Shares of Northern Star Resources (ASX:NST) rose about 1%, while Evolution Mining (ASX:EVN) fell around 1% in Tuesday's trade, as gold surged to record highs above $5,100 an ounce amid geopolitical tensions and renewed investor demand for safe-haven assets.
Newmont (ASX:NEM) gained around 1%, earlier hitting an all-time high.
Spot gold rose 2% to $5,077.22 per ounce, earlier hitting a record high of $5,110.50.
