3月17日，全球最大规模的独立能源研究与情报机构之一Rystad Energy近日公布的一份研究报告显示，包括原油、天然气资源供给在内的中东整体油气资源产量一度骤降约1200万桶油当量/日，并且最坏情况下可能相较美国/以色列与伊朗开战之前的产量水平出现急剧下滑约惊人的70%。
自伊朗军方实际上彻底关闭霍尔木兹海峡以来，中东地区最高损失超过1200万桶油当量/日的创纪录产量，相当于全球液体类型原油燃料需求的约7%，真正已经下线的原油产量供应则大约是700万桶/日;Rystad Energy周一在一份研究报告中表示，在最坏情形下，该地区石油与天然气整体产量最低可能降至仅仅600万桶/日，意味着可能将较战前水平下降70%。
