Tech stocks were lower Thursday afternoon, with the State Street Technology Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLK) falling 2.1% and the State Street SPDR S&P Semiconductor ETF (XSD) dropping 2.3%.
The Philadelphia Semiconductor index declined 3.6%.
In corporate news, Apple (AAPL) said Thursday it has added new partners to its American Manufacturing Program that seeks to bring more advanced manufacturing and critical component production to the US. Apple shares rose 1.4%.
