Manulife Financial's Q1 Attributable Net Income More Than Doubles

Manulife Financial (HKG:0945, PSE:MFC) recorded CA$1.15 billion in attributable net income for the first quarter of 2026, more than double the CA$485 million a year earlier, according to a Thursday filing with the Hong Kong bourse.
Earnings per share were CA$0.65, compared with CA$0.25 in the prior year period.
Core earnings rose 8% year on year to CA$1.84 billion from CA$1.77 billion, while core EPS increased 11% to CA$1.06 from CA$0.99.
Core revenue for the quarter climbed to CA$2.15 billion from CA$2.14 billion in the year-ago period.
The insurer declared a quarterly dividend of CA$0.485 per share, payable on and after June 19, to shareholders on record as of May 29.
