Brenmiller Energy (BNRG) said Monday its bGen Zero thermal energy storage system was chosen for a project in Spain developed by Recursos de la Biomasa, supported by a European Union grant under the NextGenerationEU program.
Financial terms were not provided.
The company said the project, delivered through Brenmiller Europe - a joint venture between Brenmiller, Viridi, and Green Enesys - will provide renewable energy storage and industrial steam production.
The system has a 1.4 megawatt-hour charging capacity, 10 MWh storage, and 33 hours of discharge, Brenmiller said.
