Waterco's (ASX:WAT) Malaysian subsidiary, Waterco Far East, signed a deal to buy a 7.8-acre vacant land from UMW Development for AU$7 million, according to a Jan. 17 filing with the Australian bourse.
The land is for a new manufacturing facility to consolidate Waterco Far East's operations, the filing said. Construction will cost around AU$10.4 million, with expected completion by the end of the fiscal year 2026.
The facility is expected to deliver annual savings in rent of roughly AU$403,000.
