Dongfeng Motor Group (HKG:0489) sold 138,719 vehicles in April, down from 142,625 a year prior, with production volume falling to 126,991 units in the month from 156,494 vehicles in the previous year, a Thursday Hong Kong bourse filing said.

The automaker sold 526,722 vehicles from January to April, down 21% from 664,715 units in the year-ago period. Production volume in the four months fell by 23% to 524,153 vehicles from 676,791 units a year prior.

The company's sales and output of new energy vehicles in April stood at 41,448 and 41,030 units, respectively, up from 23,894 and 24,548 vehicles in April 2024.

Dongfeng Motor, the automaker's parent company, recorded 651,125 vehicle sales in the four months ended April 30, down over 23% from a year prior. The sales volume of unit Dongfeng Automobile (SHA:600006) also fell 15% to 49,786 units in the four months.
