SD Guthrie (KLSE:SDG), formerly known as Sime Darby Plantation, said its profit attributable to owners surged 22% to 505 million ringgit in the second quarter from 415 million ringgit a year earlier.
Earnings per share went up to 0.073 ringgit from 0.06 ringgit a year ago, according to a Thursday filing with Bursa Malaysia.
Revenue of the fats and oils refiner rose 4% to 5.17 billion ringgit from 4.97 billion ringgit.
The company will pay an interim dividend of 0.0775 ringgit per share for the financial year ending Dec. 31, payable on Oct. 31.
