Bharti Airtel (NSE:BHARTIARTL, BOM:532454) recorded a jump in its net profit attributable to owners of the parent to 59.5 billion Indian rupees in the fiscal first quarter ended June 30 against 41.6 billion rupees a year ago.
Earnings per share climbed to 9.90 rupees from 6.98 rupees, according to a Tuesday filing to the stock exchanges by the telecom services operator.
Revenue from operations in fiscal Q1 also soared to 494.6 billion rupees from 385.1 billion rupees a year earlier.
