Statoil is engaged in the exploration, transportation, refining and marketing of petroleum and petroleum-derived products. In addition to selling crude oil, Co. is also a supplier of natural gas in the European market and maintains industrial operations. Co. has service stations in the Scandinavian countries, Ireland, Poland, the Baltic states and Russia. Co.'s operations are organized into five business segments: Exploration and Production Norway, International Exploration and Production, Natural Gas, Manufacturing and Marketing and Technology and Projects.
