Southern Alliance Mining Ltd. is a Malaysia-based company, which is engaged in investment holding and provision of management services. The Company is a high-grade iron ore producer. The Company is involved in the exploration, mining and processing of iron ore for subsequent sale. It sells iron ore concentrate of low level of impurities with total Fe grade of between 62% to 65% to steel mills and trading companies located in Malaysia and China, and pipe coating materials that are crushed iron ore with a natural characteristic of a higher density for subsea pipes. Its mining asset, the Chaah Mine, is an open mine pit consisting of two mining leases and covering an aggregate area of approximately 225.7 hectares. Its supporting infrastructure and facilities consist of four fixed crushing plants, two lines of mobile crushers and two beneficiation plants both capable of operating on a 24-hour shift. Its prospects include Mao'kil, Chaah Baru, Kota Tinggi and Tenggaroh.
