The company has announced that its wholly-owned indirect subsidiary, Yumin Limited, has entered into an agreement to sell a 51% equity interest in Baowei Environmental Technology Co., Ltd. to Yuehai Water Holdings Co., Ltd. The total consideration for the transaction is HK$44.39 million.

The target company was originally acquired by the group in December 2017 as a strategic move to enter the wastewater and drinking water treatment sectors. Following the acquisition, the group utilized the target company's expertise and technology over several years to engage in the mechanical and electrical installation works for public sewage and water treatment plants.

By retaining a 49% interest in the target company, this divestment presents a timely opportunity for the group to realize the intrinsic value of its investment, capture financial returns, and reallocate the proceeds to business segments and projects anticipated to deliver superior capital returns. This strategic reallocation is expected to generate stronger synergies with the group's existing operations and asset base.
