UBTECH Robotics Surges Past 1 Billion Yuan in Revenue, Humanoid Robot Sales Triple in First Half of 2026

UBTECH ROBOTICS, the first listed humanoid robot company, reported robust growth across its core business segments in its 2026 interim results released on the evening of August 28. Total revenue reached 1.27 billion yuan, a substantial 104.2% increase year-over-year. Humanoid robot sales hit 16,123 units, surging 268.3% compared to the same period last year. Revenue from full-size embodied intelligence humanoid robots skyrocketed by 1445.0% to 590 million yuan, establishing itself as the company's primary revenue component and core growth engine.

The financial report revealed that gross profit for the period grew substantially to 570 million yuan, up 160.9% year-over-year, with the overall gross margin improving to 44.7%, a 9.7 percentage point increase from the previous year. The company also made significant strides in narrowing its losses during the reporting period, with adjusted EBITDA improving to -170 million yuan, a 45.9% reduction in losses compared to the same period last year. This brings the company closer to its goal of achieving profitability in a healthy and rapid manner.

Notably, during the first half of 2026, UBTECH ROBOTICS invested over 300 million yuan in research and development, with its R&D team expanding to 1,103 personnel. The company projects its full-year 2026 R&D expenditure to reach 700 million yuan. As of June 30, 2026, the company had accumulated 3,112 authorized patents, including 1,857 invention patents and 530 overseas authorized patents, continuously strengthening its intellectual property moat.

Where the company is headed next: UBTECH ROBOTICS has established a strategic layout that advances simultaneously across three key scenarios: industrial, commercial, and home consumer applications. In the second half of the year, the company expects multiple product lines, including the Walker series, Cruzr series, and U1 series, to reach full production capacity and begin deliveries, activating growth momentum across all three segments.

Additionally, UBTECH ROBOTICS is building a multi-layered and comprehensive industrial ecosystem. The company has acquired Fenglong Co., a Shenzhen-listed company, to advance the development and large-scale production of core components such as end-effectors and servo drives for humanoid robots. It has also established a joint venture, Xiyuan Chuangzhi, with Muxi Co., a leading domestic high-performance GPU company, focusing on the development and mass production of embodied intelligence edge chips. Furthermore, in collaboration with Siemens, UBTECH ROBOTICS is constructing the world's first super smart factory with an annual capacity of 10,000 humanoid robots, scaling its production capability from thousands to tens of thousands of units.
