Recently, the Yunnan Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security issued a notice recognizing and cultivating 20 provincial-level labor brands, among which Ruili Jade Carving Artisans made the list.

To date, the province has cultivated and built a total of 324 "Yunnan-brand" characteristic labor brands, including 7 nationally renowned labor brands and 89 provincial-level labor brands, driving employment for approximately 8.6 million people.

The 20 brands recognized this time cover six major categories: planting and breeding, manufacturing, residential services, cultural tourism handicrafts, accommodation and catering, and emerging industries, distributed across 20 counties (cities and districts). Brands such as "Xianhu Flower Fragrance Blueberry Workers," "Yiliang Gastrodia Workers," and "Huaping Mango Township Fruit Growers" are rooted in plateau characteristic agriculture, absorbing rural labor for local and nearby employment; "Wumeng Drone Pilots" focuses on emerging industries such as drone operation, cultivating new digital skill-based positions; "Qujing Zhongjing Caregivers," "Dali Golden Flower Domestic Service," and "Chuxiong Nursing Workers" respond to cultural tourism and health care needs, leveraging the employment capacity advantages of the service industry; "Ximeng Wa Brocade Weavers" and "Ruili Jade Carving Artisans" showcase the charm of ethnic handicrafts, achieving income growth at one's doorstep while inheriting skills.

In recent years, Yunnan has vigorously implemented the "Colorful Yunnan" labor brand employment promotion action, establishing a "five-database" system comprising policy, talent, project, expert, and competition databases, building a three-tier classified cultivation system at the provincial, prefecture (city), and county (city, district) levels, and promoting the "one county, one brand; one county, multiple brands" model.

The province has cultivated 7 nationally renowned labor brands, including Qiubei Textile Workers, Pu'er Coffee Masters, Ximeng Wa Mountain Singers and Dancers, Weishan Township Chefs, Jianchuan Wood Carvers, Heqing Silversmiths, and Chuxiong Yi Embroidery.

Labor brands have been included in the training subsidy catalog, with targeted special training conducted for labor brands in plateau characteristic agriculture, domestic services, and cultural tourism handicrafts, effectively revitalizing human resources and promoting employment expansion and quality improvement.

Local colleges and technical schools are supported in establishing labor brand-related majors, making deep efforts in cultivating technical talent and formulating industry standards, and selecting 249 experts from colleges, enterprises, and industry associations to form a labor brand expert think tank.

Labor brands have become an important lever for promoting employment and assisting revitalization in Yunnan. "Fresh Cut Flower Workers" in Kunming, Yuxi, Lijiang, and other places have driven employment for over 300,000 people; "Zhaotong Small Meat Skewer Barbecue Workers" have driven employment for over 120,000 people; "Chuxiong Yi Embroidery" has driven over 60,000 rural women into nearby employment; "Ximeng Wa Mountain Singers and Dancers" has enabled more than 2,000 young people to achieve an average annual income exceeding 60,000 yuan.

Four brands including "Dali Golden Flower Domestic Service" and "Haige Housekeeper" were selected as typical cases of national domestic service labor brands.

Next, Yunnan will take the cultivation and building of labor brands as an important lever for promoting high-quality full employment, gathering factors such as capital, technology, talent, and data, researching and introducing measures to improve the quality and efficiency of labor brands, establishing an ABCD four-level incentive and exit mechanism, continuously strengthening characteristic labor brands, exploring high-end skill-based brands, and making "Yunnan-brand" labor brands a "golden signboard" for employment and income growth.
