On March 19, CHENQI TECH announced a major upgrade to its Robotaxi operations, with over 100 new GAC Aion Robosaurus Robotaxis delivered by Pony.ai joining its fleet. These vehicles will be deployed through the company’s fully open Robotaxi operations technology platform in Guangzhou, enabling commercial mixed operations of both human-driven ride-hailing and Robotaxi services. This marks the first public update on CHENQI TECH’s Robotaxi business since the launch of its "Robotaxi+" strategy in July 2025.

On the same day, CHENQI TECH and Pony.ai signed a strategic cooperation agreement in Guangzhou, outlining plans to jointly build and operate Robotaxi fleets in the future. According to CHENQI TECH, the addition of these new vehicles has significantly expanded its Robotaxi fleet to approximately 600 units, extending service coverage across key areas of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, including Guangzhou, Shenzhen, and the Hengqin Guangdong-Macao Deep Cooperation Zone.

The newly delivered Robotaxi models feature notable improvements in technical performance, safety assurance, and passenger experience. Based on GAC Aion’s Robosaurus platform and equipped with Pony.ai’s seventh-generation autonomous driving system, the vehicles utilize 100% automotive-grade components. Six types of mass-produced sensors provide 360° blind-spot-free redundant perception around the vehicle, integrated with a sensor cleaning solution designed to handle adverse weather and extreme scenarios. The system incorporates a multi-redundant architecture, featuring over 20 safety redundancies, more than 1,000 detection designs, and multiple degradation strategies, aiming to achieve "all-scenario, all-weather" application.

In terms of user experience, the new vehicles support Bluetooth unlocking, in-car voice interaction, online music, and pre-trip air conditioning adjustment. An optimized acceleration and deceleration control strategy helps reduce bumpiness during rides and lowers the risk of motion sickness for passengers.

CHENQI TECH stated that it is accelerating the development of a profitable per-vehicle Robotaxi economic model by continuously reducing vehicle operation and maintenance costs while increasing order density and user repurchase rates. This effort aims to strengthen the company’s first-mover advantage in the large-scale commercial deployment of Robotaxi services. Public information shows that, as of March 2026, CHENQI TECH’s open Robotaxi operations technology platform has integrated fleets from WeRide and Pony.ai, and is actively advancing the integration of third-party Robotaxi fleets such as萝卜快跑.
