Global Chinese Business Club announced a significant management reshuffle effective 5 August 2026.
1. Board Expansion and Dual Vice-Chair Roles • Ms. Peng Yunying has been appointed Executive Director, Vice Chairlady of the Board and Chief Technology Officer. • Mr. Guo Xianjiao has been appointed Executive Director, Vice Chairman of the Board and Chief Marketing Officer. • Both executives signed two-year service contracts, automatically extendable by one year, and each will receive a director’s fee of HK$8,000 per month.
2. Professional Backgrounds • Peng, aged 56, has more than three decades of experience in product R&D and beauty-care operations, most recently serving as Vice Chairlady of Global Chinese Merchants Club (Guangdong) Co., Ltd. She has held senior positions in several Shenzhen-based beauty and technology firms and earned an MBA from Wrexham University in 2021. • Guo, aged 56, specialises in brand management and education services. His previous roles include Brand Director at Guangdong Jianlibao Group and President of Guangdong Tongfu Education Technology Group. He obtained an MBA from Wuhan University in 2009.
3. Chairman adds CEO role • Executive Director and Chairman Mr. Zhou Zhenlin has been named Chief Executive Officer, consolidating the roles of Chairman and CEO. The Board cites Zhou’s operational expertise as the rationale for the deviation from Corporate Governance Code provision C.2.1, which recommends separation of the two roles. The Board pledges ongoing review of this structure.
4. Current Board Composition Following the changes, the Board now comprises three Executive Directors—Zhou Zhenlin, Peng Yunying and Guo Xianjiao—alongside three Independent Non-Executive Directors: Cheng Shing Yan, Tsoi Chi Hei and Zhou Wencan.
The company states that none of the newly appointed executives hold interests in the company’s shares under Part XV of the Securities and Futures Ordinance, and all meet the disclosure requirements of the Hong Kong Listing Rules.
