Micro-drama Market Value Surpasses 100 Billion Yuan in 2025

The market scale for micro-dramas exceeded one hundred billion yuan in 2025. At a State Council policy briefing held on February 6th, an official from the National Radio and Television Administration (NRTA) announced plans to formulate and implement the "Micro-drama Development Management Measures." The initiative will further advance the "Micro-drama Plus" action plan, aiming to boost service consumption through the promotion of micro-dramas. The NRTA official stated that 33,000 micro-dramas were released and broadcast in 2025, attracting nearly 700 million domestic users. Last year, the market size for micro-dramas surpassed 100 billion yuan, doubling compared to 2024.
