Analyst: Bitcoin long-term holder indicators have not yet signaled, and the market may still be in the early stages of an upward cycle
On October 28, analyst Crypto Dan stated that historically, when the proportion of Bitcoin held for more than 18 months on the entire network starts to decline after rising, it is often followed by a strong upward trend. He believes the current market has entered a bullish cycle but is still in its early stages, and the aforementioned signal has not yet appeared.
Additionally, the cryptocurrency market has not yet become overheated, with most investors still adopting a wait-and-see attitude, suggesting the real uptrend may not have started yet.
Robinhood Q3 Crypto Revenue Halves, Shares Fall More Than 7% After Hours
Robinhood reported third-quarter 2026 revenue of $1.424 billion, up 12% year over year and 9% sequentially, setting a record but falling short of market expectations of about $1.44 billion. Net income fell 14% to $476 million, with diluted EPS of $0.51 missing the $0.55 consensus compiled by LSEG. Coinbase denies data leak: the incident originated from Amplitude, its own systems were not affected
Coinbase has responded to the market rumors about a data breach, stating that the leak did not occur within its own systems.
The company said that a third-party analytics service provider, Amplitude, experienced a security incident, affecting contact information of some clients including Coinbase. Coinbase stated that there is currently no evidence of unauthorized access to its internal systems, customer funds have not been affected, and it will legally notify affected customers and regulatory authorities.
Zhao Changpeng: Users should protect their own data and reduce sharing the same information across multiple platforms
Binance founder Changpeng Zhao said on October 28 that four data breaches were reported today. In the crypto sector, Coinbase's vendor Amplitude exposed some users' contact data, though funds were unaffected; South Korean exchange Bithumb also experienced a user data breach. In traditional finance, South Korean securities firms Mirae Asset and Daishin Securities suffered data breaches as well. Zhao stated that breaches cannot be prevented, but users can protect themselves.
The compromised exchange data includes names, email addresses, phone numbers, addresses, identification documents, and transaction records, mostly used for phishing, SIM swapping, and social engineering attacks. Zhao advised reducing shared information and using separate email aliases for each exchange to prevent linkage to other accounts after a breach, thus helping identify which service was compromised.
