President Trump congratulated Democrats on their midterm victories and told CBS he looks forward to working with them, adding he holds an "absolute veto" and will veto measures if they refuse to cooperate.
Asked about the Iran conflict, he said the war will end "when I say it will."
President Trump said he believes the Iran issue was a factor in the Republican defeat, but that Americans recognize the significant achievements his administration has made in dealing with Iran.
Trump said his electoral defeat was unrelated to his cabinet.
