INSILICO Delivers 1H 2026 Turnaround with Revenue Up 2.9-Fold and First Interim Profit

INSILICO (InSilico Medicine Cayman TopCo) reported a sharp swing to profitability in the six months ended 30 June 2026, driven by surging revenue from AI-enabled drug discovery partnerships and out-licensing deals.

• Revenue leapt to USD 106.30 million, a 287.2% year-on-year increase, powered by a 331.3% jump in drug discovery and pipeline-development income to USD 103.13 million, equal to 97% of the top line. Software-solution sales contributed USD 2.70 million, while other discovery services added USD 0.48 million.

• Gross profit reached USD 95.97 million, with gross margin expanding to 90.3% (1H 2025: 83.8%).

• The group recorded net profit of USD 35.54 million versus a USD 19.22 million loss a year earlier. On a non-IFRS basis, adjusted profit was USD 51.23 million, compared with a USD 15.41 million loss.

• Operating cash inflow was USD 78.99 million, reversing last year’s USD 36.84 million outflow.

• R&D expenses rose 38.7% to USD 49.33 million as the pipeline progressed to 33 AI-generated pre-clinical candidates and multiple clinical-stage assets.

• Cash resources remained strong: bank balances stood at USD 357.62 million, supplemented by USD 108.95 million of term deposits and USD 123.35 million of financial assets at fair value through profit or loss. Net assets increased to USD 547.06 million from USD 452.03 million at end-2025. The group’s gearing ratio was 2.4% following new short-term borrowings of USD 14.68 million.

Operational highlights include: – Launch of a Phase III trial in China for lead IPF candidate Rentosertib (ISM001-055). – Nine new pre-clinical candidate nominations year-to-date. – Strategic collaborations with Eli Lilly, Servier, SK Biopharmaceuticals, Takeda and others, lifting 2026 deal value to about USD 7.30 billion. – Expansion of the Pharma.AI platform with Science MMAI Gym and Chemistry42+; software revenues grew to USD 2.70 million.

No interim dividend was declared.

Management targets continued business-development momentum, advancing late-stage clinical assets and broadening AI-platform commercialisation in the second half of 2026.
