Some chip stocks rose in morning trading. Broadcom and Cerebras Systems rose 4%; SanDisk and Direxion Daily Semiconductors Bull 3x Shares rose 3%; Seagate Technology rose 2%; Micron Technology, Western Digital, and SK hynix rose 1%.
Optical communications stocks also rose in morning trading. Coherent rose 4%; Lumentum, Credo Technology, POET Technologies, and Corning rose 3%; Semtech, AXT Inc, and Fabrinet rose 2%.
