Sunshine Oilsands Forms Geo-Energy Intelligent Computing JV in Qinhuangdao; Project Design Finalized

Sunshine Oilsands Ltd. (Sunshine Oilsands) has formally incorporated its artificial-intelligence computing centre joint venture under the registered name Geo-Energy Intelligent Computing Artificial Intelligence (Qinhuangdao Beidaihe District) Co., Ltd., according to a supplemental announcement dated 9 September 2026. The legal registration follows the company’s initial disclosure of the venture on 23 August 2026.

The joint venture was originally proposed as Geo-Energy Intelligent Computing Artificial Intelligence (Beidaihe) Co., Ltd.; the updated name reflects its registration in Qinhuangdao’s Beidaihe District. Sunshine Oilsands confirmed that all industrial and commercial registration procedures have been completed.

One of the venture partners has also undergone a corporate name change: Jiangsu Zhongke Supply Chain Management Co., Ltd. is now operating as Zhongke (Nanjing) Investment Holding Co., Ltd. Other partners in the joint venture remain unchanged.

The overall design scheme for the AI computing centre has been finalised. Regulatory approval processes are progressing as scheduled, and preparatory construction work is being carried out in parallel.

Board oversight of Sunshine Oilsands continues under Executive Chairman Kwok Ping Sun, with seven directors comprising executive, non-executive and independent non-executive members.
