China Communications Services Corporation Limited (CHINACOMSERVICE) reported that its Extraordinary General Meeting held on 30 July 2026 in Beijing passed the only resolution on the agenda—the election of Mr. Miao Shouye as a non-executive director.
A total of 6,926.02 million shares were in issue and eligible to vote. Shareholders or proxies representing 5,466.68 million shares—78.93% of the issued capital—attended the meeting. The resolution received 5,401.40 million votes in favour (98.81%) and 65.28 million votes against (1.19%), comfortably exceeding the simple-majority threshold for approval. Computershare Hong Kong Investor Services Limited acted as the scrutineer.
Mr. Miao will serve from 30 July 2026 until the end of the seventh board term. He will not receive salary or directors’ fees and currently holds no shares in the company. The board confirmed that Mr. Miao has no relationships with existing directors, senior management, or major shareholders and that no additional disclosures are required under the Hong Kong Listing Rules.
Following the meeting, Mr. Tang Yongbo’s previously announced resignation as non-executive director and member of the Strategy Committee became effective. The board expressed gratitude for Mr. Tang’s service and welcomed Mr. Miao’s appointment.
The meeting complied with the Company Law of the People’s Republic of China, the Hong Kong Listing Rules, and the company’s Articles of Association.
