The French seismic exploration company Viridien has appointed Henning Berg as its Chief Executive Officer and a director, with the appointment receiving shareholder approval at the company's annual general meeting.
The appointment was ratified during the company's combined shareholders' meeting held in Paris on June 3, where shareholders also approved Berg's election to the board of directors.
Following the conclusion of the meeting, the board of directors formally appointed Berg as CEO. Sophie Zurquiyah will continue in her role as Chairperson of the board.
Berg joined Viridien in March 2026 as Chief Operating Officer before being named CEO. He brings over 27 years of experience in the energy sector, including leadership roles at SLB Ltd, where he served as President and Vice President for four major global business units.

Berg holds a Master's degree in Thermal Engineering and Fluid Mechanics, as well as a Master's in Management for the Oil and Gas Industry.
Berg stated, "I am honored by the board's trust as I prepare to lead Viridien into its next chapter.
