China Daye flags 44% profit slide for FY2025 as smelting fees tumble

China Daye Non-Ferrous Metals Mining Limited reported that preliminary, unaudited figures for the year ended 31 December 2025 point to a sharp contraction in earnings despite double-digit revenue growth.

Revenue is expected to rise 14.17% year on year to RMB66.05 billion, up from RMB57.85 billion in 2024, driven mainly by higher sales volumes and prices. However, net profit is projected to fall 44.04% to RMB5.37 million, compared with RMB9.60 million a year earlier.

Management attributed the profit squeeze to “the concentrated and accelerated release of domestic and foreign smelting capacity” combined with tight copper-concentrate supply. These conditions triggered a steep drop in smelting processing charges, significantly compressing margins for downstream smelting enterprises.

The data are based on consolidated management accounts that have not yet been audited or reviewed by the external auditor. Final figures will be disclosed in the company’s FY2025 results announcement.

Shareholders and prospective investors are advised to exercise caution when trading the company’s shares until the audited results are released.
