Mengdian Huaneng Thermal's Power Generation Slips 3%, Coal Output Rises 9% in 2024

Inner Mongolia Mengdian Huaneng Thermal Power's (SHA:600863) power generation in 2024 declined 3.4% year on year to 58.6 billion kilowatt hours from 60.7 billion kWh, according to a Shanghai Stock Exchange filing on Tuesday.
The grid-connected electricity in the same period was 54.3 billion kWh, down 3.5% from 56.3 billion kWh in the previous year.
In the same period, coal output rose 8.9% year on year to 14.4 million tons, while coal exports jumped 17% to 7.3 million tons. The average unit price of coal increased 0.18% to 402.21 yuan per ton, the Chinese thermal power generation company said.
