雷军首次回应小米SU7事故：公众对小米有高期待和严要求
5月15日晚间，雷军在小米价值观大赛后，对小米员工发表内部演讲，此次演讲内容涉及此前备受外界关注的小米SU7事故。
雷军提到，三月底的一场交通事故给小米带来了巨大影响。“我们受到了狂风暴雨般的质疑、批评和指责，我和同事们一样，一下子都懵了。但是谁也没有想到，这一场事故的影响如此之大，对我们小米的打击也如此之大。”
雷军回顾了四年前小米决定造车时，称当时自己就对汽车安全问题格外担忧。然而，这场事故的发生让他认识到，公众对小米汽车的期待远超想象，也标志着小米不再只是行业新人，而需要承担起大公司、行业领导者的责任。他称，小米必须在汽车安全领域做到行业领先，甚至成为最安全的车，而不仅仅是合规或达到行业平均水平。
他还表示，“今年是小米的15周年，我们原计划规划了很多很多的庆典、总结、规划的活动，但大部分都取消了。”
记者留意到，在雷军发表内部演讲的同时，小米SU7 Ultra“挖孔版”前舱盖因涉嫌虚假宣传引发的车主要求退车退订事件仍在持续发酵，同时#小米SU7大灯外框被曝翘边#也冲上微博热搜，多名小米SU7车主通过社交平台反映汽车的大灯与翼子板接缝处存在鼓包、翘边现象。
