Xpeng (HKG:9868) plans to introduce smart cars equipped with semi-autonomous driving features in Hong Kong next year, the South China Morning Post reported Thursday.
The testing of its Navigation Guided Pilot (X NGP) driver-assistance system in the city would take around two months before sales could begin, CEO He Xiaopeng said during the 2025 International Automotive & Supply Chain Expo.
He added that testing could begin after regulators gave the EV maker the green light to promote the software, according to the report.
Xpeng expects the technology to boost logistics efficiency and road safety, the report cited He as saying.
