PowerBank promoted Andrew van Doorn to president, expanding his existing role as chief operating officer as the renewable energy company accelerates efforts to grow across North America.
Van Doorn will provide executive leadership to PowerBank's operations and growth strategies while continuing to oversee commercial operations, project development and strategic partnerships, the company said.
PowerBank is working to develop a pipeline of more than 1 gigawatt of renewable energy projects and has plans to enter new markets including space-based infrastructure and advanced data centers. The company develops solar and battery energy storage systems that sell electricity to utilities and industrial, municipal and residential users.
The company said it might also issue up to $50 million in shares under an equity distribution agreement signed with H.C. Wainwright & Co., Research Capital and Research Capital USA to renew an at-the-market equity program.
The timing of any sales and the number of shares sold, if any, will depend on a variety of factors to be determined by the company, it said.
