据业内消息人士周三透露，美国已要求韩国各大造船企业提供其建造驱逐舰、舰队补给舰等海军舰艇的产能相关信息。
知情人士称，美国国防部与美国海军近期向HD现代重工、韩华海洋公司发送了信息征询书（RFI），两家企业已于上月提交了自身驱逐舰设计能力及造船产能的详细材料。
消息人士称，针对另一份中型海军油料补给舰相关信息征询书，上述两家造船企业以及三星重工也一并提交了答复材料。
一位不愿具名的行业相关负责人表示：“我们已向美方的信息征询书作出回复，全面介绍了旗下船厂的综合实力，涵盖船舶建造实绩、设计研发团队与专业技术储备，以及年度造船产能等内容。”
依据美国《联邦采购条例》，信息征询书（RFI）是政府为规划目的收集价格、交货条款及其他市场信息所采用的一种程序。
这一最新举措是在美国总统唐纳德·特朗普上个月在七国集团（G7）峰会上询问韩国总统李在明，韩国造船厂能否快速建造10艘美国海军舰艇之后作出的。李在明当时回应称，韩国造船厂具备实现这一目标的能力，并将尽最大努力完成任务。
