巴西央行连续第四次会议将基准利率下调25个基点，此前公布的新数据显示，经济增长放缓，通胀降温幅度超预期。
以Gabriel Galípolo为首的巴西央行理事会成员周三晚间将基准Selic利率降至14%，符合彭博调查的所有经济学家预期。至此，3月以来的累计降息幅度达到100个基点。
决策者一致通过这项决定，未提供前瞻指引，并表示未来的决策将取决于后续公布的数据。
“本轮校准周期的总幅度将根据新信息确定，旨在确保通胀向目标水平收敛，”他们在随利率决定发布的声明中写道。
巴西央行决策者目前受益于略有改善的短期通胀前景。6月和7月初的消费者价格涨幅低于预期；与此同时，随着服务业活动和工业产出走弱，经济活动逐渐失去动能。不过，尽管利率仍处于限制性水平，2028年第一季度的通胀预期仍高于3%的目标。
