Google to Buy Spirit Airlines Data Assets for $10 Million in Bankruptcy Sale

Alphabet's (GOOGL) Google agreed to purchase a broad set of Spirit Airlines' enterprise data and internally developed software assets for $10 million under a bill of sale filed Friday in the US Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.

The assets include deidentified productivity, operations and workflow data, along with Spirit's proprietary software and related technical documentation. Google will be responsible for the related deidentification costs.

Personal data and privileged materials are excluded from the sale. The transaction remains subject to Bankruptcy Court approval and delivery of the assets in the required format.
