Arista Networks nearly doubled its profit and reported 59% revenue growth in the third quarter, citing continued strong demand for the company's artificial-intelligence data-center products.

The network infrastructure company on Tuesday reported a profit of $1.56 billion, or $1.22 a share, in the quarter ended Sept. 30. That compares with a profit of $853 million, or 67 cents a share, a year earlier.

On an adjusted basis, earnings were $1.20 a share, compared with Wall Street's expectation for $1.08 a share, according to FactSet.

Revenue was up to $3.66 billion from $2.31 billion a year prior. Analysts polled by FactSet were expecting $3.33 billion.

Chief Executive Jayshree Ullal said the company's year-over-year revenue growth was the strongest since its 2014 initial public offering.

"This strong momentum across customer sectors highlights our increased relevance for the generative and agentic AI era," Ullal said.

For the current fourth quarter, the company guided for adjusted earnings of between $1.26 and $1.30 a share on revenue between $3.9 billion and $4 billion. Analysts currently expect adjusted earnings of $1.15 a share on $3.6 billion in revenue.

Shares rose 7.1% to $182.00 in after-hours trading.
