To improve the creation, application, protection, and management of intellectual property rights for local enterprises, while also unlocking their innovation potential, optimizing the regional business environment, and strengthening the public service foundation for IP in the zone, Shangluo Economic Development Zone organized a specialized training session on July 23.

Key enterprises such as Huangchao Glass, Weigang Dairy, and Taoling Mining participated in the event. The session featured a team of experts from the National Intellectual Property Operation (Shaanxi) Advanced Technology Transformation Platform, who provided precise and practical guidance on intellectual property matters.

During the training, expert Li Chen delivered a focused lecture on patent basics, systematically explaining the definition, classification, and core value of patents. The lecture thoroughly detailed the entire process of patent application, from acceptance and review to approval, along with related regulatory requirements. It specifically addressed common challenges enterprises face in technological research and patent filing.

The training helped enterprises clarify their patent application strategies, avoid common filing pitfalls, and encouraged them to prioritize the transformation of technological achievements. By leveraging patent protection to solidify innovations, businesses can turn their technological advantages into core competitiveness.

Following this, expert Wang Jinfen conducted a session on trademark brand building. Combining current market regulations with typical infringement cases, she explained the core functions and brand value of trademarks in an accessible manner. The session provided a comprehensive overview of the trademark registration process, standards, and examination requirements.

Focusing on key practical areas such as compliant trademark use, brand cultivation, risk prevention, and legal rights protection, the session analyzed methods to handle issues like trademark disuse, improper use, and infringement disputes. Guidance was provided to help enterprises standardize trademark management, strengthen brand protection, and enhance market competitiveness through quality brands, ensuring long-term business growth.

The training content was practical, targeted, and closely aligned with the actual operations of enterprises, balancing policy and professionalism. It effectively filled gaps in the intellectual property work of local businesses and resolved key pain points in IP management and application.

Participating enterprises reported that the training was highly relevant and practical, deepening their understanding of how intellectual property drives high-quality development. They stated they would apply the lessons learned to standardize IP management and deepen technological innovation and brand building.

Looking ahead, Shangluo Economic Development Zone will continue to build on its "Growing Together with Enterprises" service brand. The zone plans to regularly offer enterprise-friendly services, including IP knowledge sessions, policy interpretations, and practical guidance. It aims to establish precise government-enterprise communication platforms, complete the full-chain IP service system, and guide enterprises to adopt an innovation, branding, and rights-protection mindset.

These efforts are designed to boost the quantity and quality of intellectual property in the region, continuously activate corporate innovation vitality, and empower the transformation and upgrade of industries within the zone, contributing to high-quality economic development.
