At the start of the 2026 Apple fall event, Apple's newly appointed CEO, John Ternus, made his debut to a standing ovation. His opening remarks immediately set the tone for the company's enduring principles and values, emphasizing a commitment to innovation that touches lives.

Ternus highlighted that artificial intelligence will unlock entirely new experiences, introducing his vision as an "Intelligent Personal Hub." Reflecting on his journey, he shared, "It's wonderful to be here. When I first walked through these doors 25 years ago, I never dreamed of a moment like today. But I knew then that this place was truly special. I knew there was a deep focus on creating genuinely valuable products, and that it attracted brilliant minds driven to change the world."

He spoke passionately about the impact of their creations: "I love that the products we build help people boost their creativity, enhance their productivity, and even accomplish things they once thought impossible. I value how we are guided by principles, weaving them into everything we do. We are obsessive about detail and prioritize simplicity in design. We want our products to be powerful, yet also simple, natural, and intuitive. Ultimately, we only want to create products that have a meaningful impact on people's lives. That is our reason for being, and it drives all our efforts."

Over the past quarter-century, Ternus said he has witnessed this mission time and again, and the excitement lies in the chapters still to be written. "We will continue to change the world in ways we can't even imagine today. That said, we've been doing a lot of dreaming, and we're ready to share some of it with you now. I'm thrilled, the team is thrilled, and I'm confident you'll love what you see. So, thank you again for being here. Let's get started!"
