On August 19, Qingdao Port International Co.,Ltd. announced that commercial vehicle exports grew 23% year-on-year during the first seven months of this year. Among these, new energy vehicle exports surged 1617% year-on-year, while engineering vehicle exports increased 35% year-on-year.
In 2025, Qingdao Port has continuously expanded its shipping network and optimized its emerging market layout. The port has launched new general cargo routes including "Qingdao-North Africa," "Qingdao-India-Pakistan," and "Qingdao-Central and North America." Various specialized cargo types such as automobiles, dump trucks, excavators, tipper trucks, and aerial work platforms have been prioritized for export, further facilitating large-scale commercial vehicle export channels and achieving comprehensive coverage of major global automotive consumer markets.
To meet customer demands, Qingdao Port has innovatively developed a dual-engine port collection model combining "railway mainlines + short-haul trucking." This seamless multimodal transportation system has reduced logistics costs for customers by over 10%. The port has also established a joint mechanism with maritime authorities, pilot services, and border inspection agencies. Through advance customs clearance and priority processing, vessel non-productive waiting time at the port has been minimized to the greatest extent, ensuring maximum berth utilization.
Additionally, Qingdao Port has formed a specialized commercial vehicle export service team, providing comprehensive services including vehicle inspection and refined terminal management to ensure efficient and smooth export operations.
