According to the "Announcement No. 5 of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress of the People's Republic of China (2025)" published on the official website of the National People's Congress, four military representatives—Zhang Lin, Gao Daguang, Wang Zhibin, and Wang Chunning—were dismissed from their positions as representatives of the 14th National People's Congress due to "serious violations of discipline and law."

The announcement reveals that Zhang Lin, former Minister of the Logistics Support Department of the Central Military Commission, and Gao Daguang, former Political Commissar of the Joint Logistics Support Force, were both dismissed on July 21, 2025, in a meeting held by the Logistics Support Department of the Central Military Commission due to serious violations of discipline and law.

Wang Zhibin, former Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission and former Director of the Supervisory Committee of the Rocket Force, was dismissed from his position on July 18, 2025, at a military representative meeting held by the Army for similar reasons. Wang Chunning, former Commander of the Armed Police Force, was dismissed from his representative role on July 25, 2025, following a military representative meeting of the Armed Police Force due to serious violations of discipline and law.

In accordance with relevant provisions of the "Law of the People's Republic of China on the Representatives of the National People's Congress and the Representatives of Local People's Congresses at All Levels," the representative qualifications of Wang Lixia, Wang Bin, Wang Qirong, Niu Chao, Ni Qiang, Zhang Lin, Gao Daguang, Wang Zhibin, and Wang Chunning have been terminated.

Earlier reports from various media, including The Paper and Xinhua News, indicated that Wang Chunning, who was dismissed by the Armed Police Force military representative meeting, previously served as a member of the Beijing Municipal Committee and Commander of the Armed Police Force. He was promoted to the rank of Major General in August 2017 and further promoted to General rank in December 2020. On August 27, 2024, he delivered a keynote speech at the "Great Wall-2024" International Counter-Terrorism Forum held in Beijing.

Wang Zhibin, who was dismissed by the Army military representative meeting, had long been in service in the former Nanjing Military Region and held various positions, including Commander of the Yanchen Military Division of the Anhui Province Military Region and Director of the Political Department of the former 1st Group Army. He was promoted to the rank of Major General on July 31, 2016.

In 2017, the Central Military Commission decided to restructure the original 18 Group Armies of the Army into 13 Group Armies, numbered from 71 to 83. Wang Zhibin served as the Director of the Political Work Department of the 73rd Group Army. Notably, in October 2018, Wang Zhibin appeared in public activities as the Political Commissar of the 81st Group Army, as reported by the official WeChat account of the Central Theater Command Army.

Zhang Lin and Gao Daguang were both dismissed by the military representative meeting of the Logistics Support Department of the Central Military Commission. Gao Daguang served for many years in the former Shenyang Military Region, holding positions such as Political Commissar of a Red Army Division and Deputy Political Commissar of the former 39th Group Army.
