Prudential cancels shares after latest London buyback

Prudential plc announced that it cancelled 390,473 ordinary shares on Jul, 13 2026 following share repurchases executed on Jul, 09 2026.

After the cancellation, the group’s issued share capital decreased to 2,508,674,190 shares.

The company also reported that an additional 747,757 repurchased shares from Jul, 10 2026 and Jul, 13 2026 are awaiting cancellation.

On Jul, 13 2026, Prudential bought back 370,629 shares on the London Stock Exchange at prices ranging from GBP 10.415 to GBP 10.555 per share, for a total consideration of about 6.9 million Singapore dollars.

Under the authority granted on May, 14 2025, Prudential is permitted to repurchase up to 262.67 million shares; so far it has acquired approximately 104.25 million shares, equivalent to 4.00 % of the company’s issued shares at the time the mandate was approved.

A moratorium on issuing new shares or selling treasury shares is in effect until Aug, 12 2026.
