On 17 August, the company repurchased 5.73 million ordinary shares on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange at prices between HK$12.07 and HK$12.36, for an aggregate outlay of HK$69.90 million. The volume-weighted average consideration was approximately HK$12.20 per share. All repurchased shares are earmarked for cancellation.
Together with the 1.59 million shares bought on 14 August at an average HK$12.29, JD Logistics has acquired 8.59 million shares since the mandate became effective, representing 0.13 % of the 6.62 billion issued shares outstanding on the mandate date. The current authorisation permits repurchase of up to 662.50 million shares, leaving 653.91 million shares (about 9.87 % of shares outstanding) still available under the mandate.
