Zhejiang Yongan: HKEX Issues Director Unsuitability Statement and Censure to Former INED Yu Weidong

Bulletin Express
Jun 09

The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited (HKEX) has imposed a Director Unsuitability Statement and a formal censure against Mr Yu Weidong, former independent non-executive director of Zhejiang Yongan Rongtong Holdings Co., Ltd. (delisted).

The GEM Listing Committee concluded that Mr Yu breached GEM Listing Rules 5.02C and 5.13A by failing to: 1) cooperate with the Listing Division’s investigation, 2) respond to multiple enquiry and reminder letters, and 3) maintain up-to-date contact information for three years after leaving the board.

Given the seriousness of these failures, the Committee declared Mr Yu unsuitable to serve as a director or senior manager of the company or any of its subsidiaries and issued the censure on 9 June 2026.

The Exchange emphasized that a director’s obligation to provide information persists even after an issuer is delisted or the individual leaves office. The sanctions apply solely to Mr Yu and do not extend to Zhejiang Yongan Rongtong Holdings Co., Ltd. or any other current or former directors.
