IDEX Corp's stock surged 8.31% in pre-market trading on Wednesday, following the release of the company's first-quarter 2026 financial results and updated annual guidance.
The engineered products maker reported first-quarter adjusted earnings per share of $2.00, significantly beating the analyst consensus estimate of $1.77. Quarterly sales reached $886.9 million, also surpassing expectations of $845.6 million. The company's performance was bolstered by higher volumes in its Health & Science Technologies segment, driven by AI-related demand for data center power and semiconductor markets.
Concurrently, IDEX raised its full-year 2026 outlook, increasing its forecast for organic sales growth to 3%-4% from the previous range of 1%-2%. The company also lifted its adjusted diluted EPS guidance to $8.35-$8.55, up from $8.15-$8.35 and above the FactSet consensus estimate of $8.26. This combination of a strong quarterly beat and an optimistic raised annual forecast drove significant investor optimism in the pre-market session.
