The company recently announced its intention to repurchase its own shares. According to a general mandate for share repurchases approved by shareholders at the Annual General Meeting held on June 5, 2025, and any subsequent general mandates approved at future general meetings, the company plans to buy back shares on the open market from time to time, with the total value not exceeding HK$200 million.
In other news, BOAN BIOTECH announced via its official social media that its independently developed Dulaglutide Injection (BA5101) has received marketing approval from the Macau Special Administrative Region's Pharmaceutical Administration. The drug is indicated for glycemic control in adult patients with type 2 diabetes.
BA5101 is recognized as the first and currently only biosimilar of Trulicity® approved for marketing globally. It also marks the first domestically developed dulaglutide injection to receive approval in Macau.
Furthermore, BA5101 has also received clearance to initiate clinical trials in the United States, laying a foundation for its subsequent development in major international markets.
