CHINA RISUN GP (01907) announced that it expects its net profit for the first half of 2026 to increase by no less than 335% compared to the same period last year.

According to the company's statement, the profit growth is primarily driven by a combination of factors, including the widening price spreads of fine chemical products due to rising selling prices and the successful completion of the acquisition of Binhai Energy. During the period, the price spread of the group's fine chemical products widened, primarily due to increased spreads on the aromatics production line. The average selling price of caprolactam products rose by 13.3% to approximately RMB 9,701.3 per tonne during the period (compared to approximately RMB 8,563.1 per tonne in the same period last year). Meanwhile, the average purchase price of benzene, one of the main raw materials for caprolactam, remained largely flat, thereby expanding the price spread for caprolactam. Additionally, price spreads for other fine chemical products, such as methanol from coke oven gas, also remained at elevated levels. The widening of fine chemical product price spreads is one of the reasons for the increase in net profit during the period compared to the same period last year.

The group successfully completed the acquisition of Tianjin Binhai Energy Development Co., Ltd. on June 24, 2026. Given that this acquisition is a business combination under common control under International Financial Reporting Standards, the group has restated the unaudited consolidated management accounts for the same period last year, resulting in a reduction of approximately RMB 36 million in the unaudited net profit for the comparable period. As disclosed in the company's announcement dated August 8, 2026, regarding the main accounting data and financial indicators of Binhai Energy for the six months ended June 30, 2026, Binhai Energy's operating revenue increased by 78.5% to approximately RMB 419 million during the period, demonstrating its continuously strengthening operational capabilities.

During the period, Binhai Energy focused on completing the construction and physical connection of the first phase of the 150MW wind power project, part of the source-grid-load-storage green electricity initiative located in Inner Mongolia. This initiative aims to enhance the group's ability to secure energy supply for Binhai Energy's lithium battery anode material production, meeting the growing demand from battery customers. It also seeks to improve integrated production quality, reduce production costs, and enhance the green attributes of the products. The green electricity project achieved full-capacity power transmission on August 1, 2026, officially entering the system commissioning and trial operation phase.
