Key takeaways: Rivian Automotive, Inc. saw its third-quarter vehicle deliveries climb 46% year over year.

The electric vehicle maker reiterated its full-year 2026 vehicle delivery guidance of 65,000 to 70,000 units.

On Friday, April 24, 2026, consumers viewed the all-new Rivian R2 midsize SUV at a showroom in Streeterville, Chicago.

Rivian announced on Friday that its third-quarter deliveries surged 46% year over year, beating Wall Street expectations, while also confirming its full-year 2026 vehicle delivery target.

The EV company delivered a total of 19,248 vehicles from July to September, compared with 13,201 units in the same period last year.

The average analyst estimate compiled by FactSet was 18,000 units.

Rivian raised its full-year delivery guidance earlier this year to a target range of 65,000 to 70,000 units.

To reach that target, the company needs fourth-quarter deliveries to increase by at least 20.5% from the third quarter, reaching 23,193 units.

The delivery growth is driven by the continued ramp-up of production for the entry-level R2 SUV.

The R2, launched earlier this year, is positioned below the flagship R1 SUV, with a smaller size and a lower price.
