Qunabox Group Interim Results: Revenue Up 22.2%, AI Interactive Marketing Drives Margin Expansion

Qunabox Group reported interim revenue of RMB 826.55 million for the six months ended 30 June 2026, a 22.2% year-on-year increase. Gross profit rose 27.1% to RMB 489.89 million, lifting gross margin by 2.3 percentage points to 59.3%. Net profit advanced 30.3% to RMB 167.28 million, pushing the net margin to 20.2%.

Segment performance • Marketing services delivered RMB 724.91 million, up 27.6% and accounting for 87.7% of group turnover. Within this, AI standard marketing contributed RMB 591.50 million (+22.4%), while AI customised marketing—including AI interactive marketing—generated RMB 133.41 million (+57.2%). • AI interactive marketing revenue doubled to RMB 131.60 million (+101.9%), representing 18.2% of marketing-service sales and achieving a 93.3% gross margin (+2.4 ppts). • Smart retail revenue edged up 2.9% to RMB 85.65 million, with margin improving to 30.4% (+4.8 ppts). • Other services declined 35.9% to RMB 15.99 million as the company prioritised core businesses.

Operating efficiency Total operating expenses (selling & distribution, R&D, administrative) rose 5.5% to RMB 296.50 million, but the aggregate expense ratio fell to 35.9% from 40.7% a year earlier. R&D spending reached a record RMB 86.10 million (+10.6%), focused on scenario-specific adaptation of the newly launched “Omni-sensory Physical AI Agent” platform.

Customer traction Brand customers increased 57.3% to 236, while key-account (KA) numbers remained steady at 29. Average revenue per KA customer rose 17.6% to RMB 19.00 million. Adoption of AI interactive marketing grew to 51 brand customers, lifting penetration to 21.6% (+4.3 ppts).

Balance-sheet highlights • Cash and bank balances stood at RMB 1.61 billion, up RMB 107.50 million from end-2025. • Bank borrowings declined to RMB 514.94 million, lowering the gearing ratio to 24.6% (-1.5 ppts). • Inventories increased to RMB 44.76 million, reflecting higher activity levels. • Registered software copyrights totalled 173, with patents rising to 28 and 133 applications pending.

Strategic progress During the period, Qunabox completed the build-out of its “AI + Consumption Scenarios” strategy and unveiled the Omni-sensory Physical AI Agent at the 2026 WAIC. The solution integrates multimodal perception, on-device autonomous marketing agents and generative content engines, underpinning the growth of high-margin AI interactive marketing services.

Outlook Management will focus on extending the Physical AI Agent across brand life-cycle scenarios, deepening penetration of AI interactive marketing among existing clients, and advancing overseas “physical AI entertainment” pilots—starting with Singapore—while maintaining disciplined R&D and expense control.
