Fresh data from the National Food and Strategic Reserves Administration reveals that nationwide wheat procurement has now surpassed 90 million tons, coinciding with the peak market entry period for early indica rice in the southern regions.

To safeguard the financial interests of grain growers, national authorities initiated the minimum purchase price implementation plan for early indica rice in Jiangxi and Hunan provinces starting this August, alongside a similar scheme for wheat in Henan Province. These policy measures are designed to provide a price safety net and stabilize market expectations.

The administration has coordinated over 5,000 post-harvest grain service centers to operate in tandem across regional boundaries, offering routine one-stop solutions for grain cleaning, drying, and storage. Local governments are ensuring comprehensive support for the acquisition of the new harvest, thereby reinforcing both the nation's food security framework and the fundamental income base for farming households.
