GameStop's Chairman and CEO, Ryan Cohen, boosted his position in the company on September 21, purchasing 1,150,684 Class A common shares in a transaction valued at roughly $26.4 million. The buy orders were executed at prices ranging from $22.76 to $23.02 per share, with a weighted average acquisition price of about $22.94.

Following the completion of this purchase, Cohen directly holds approximately 40,498,500 Class A common shares of GameStop.

This latest share accumulation comes on the heels of a series of recent capital maneuvers by the company. GameStop had previously announced the conversion of around $1.4 billion in senior convertible notes into Class A common stock, which included roughly $400 million in zero-coupon convertible notes due in 2030 and approximately $1 billion in convertible notes maturing in 2032.

Beyond the balance sheet restructuring, GameStop continues to broaden its operational footprint. The firm has teamed up with Uber to integrate video games, consoles, and accessories into the Uber Eats delivery platform, aiming to widen its instant retail coverage.

Cohen has also recently voiced interest in a potential acquisition of eBay, indicating that if such a deal moves forward, he would prefer to engage directly with the shareholder base during the process.
