Standard Chartered Appoints Costello as Interim Group CFO

Standard Chartered has appointed Manus Costello as the interim Group Chief Financial Officer, effective immediately.

The London-headquartered bank stated on Monday that Costello will succeed Pete Burrill and will report directly to Chief Executive Officer Bill Winters.

The company noted that Costello joined in April 2024 as Global Head of Investor Relations. He brings over 20 years of experience in equity research, including roles as a founding partner and global head of research at Autonomous.

He will also join the company's board as an executive director, subject to regulatory approvals.

In addition, the bank announced the appointment of Tanuj Kapilashrami as Group Chief Operating Officer, also effective immediately.
