CommVault Systems (CVLT) saw its stock price surge 10.85% at the market open on Tuesday, following the release of its fourth-quarter fiscal 2026 financial results that significantly exceeded analyst expectations.
The data protection software company reported quarterly adjusted earnings of $1.28 per share, beating the consensus estimate of $1.08 by 18.5%. Revenue for the quarter reached $311.7 million, representing a 13% year-over-year increase and also surpassing analyst forecasts. The strong performance was driven by substantial subscription revenue growth of 20% annually, with SaaS revenue increasing by an impressive 43%.
CommVault provided optimistic guidance for fiscal 2027, forecasting total revenue between $1.30 billion and $1.31 billion, which aligns closely with market expectations. The company also highlighted record free cash flow of $132 million for the quarter and announced share repurchases totaling $259 million, further bolstering investor confidence in its financial health and growth trajectory in the data protection market.
